The Xec. Leadership Shceme

About The Xec. (pronounced ‘zeck’)

The Xec. leadership scheme, developed by The Pros Collective (previously BME PR Pros), supported by Google UK, and delivered in partnership with PRovoke Media and the CIPR, will kick off its fifth year in September 2025.

The leadership scheme, the first for UK-based Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Ethnic Minority (BME) PR and comms pros, aims to create the next generation of BME leaders and to increase boardroom diversity client and agency-side.

The Xec.’s fifth year will run from September 2025 to June 2026 and include a mix of training days, masterclasses and ‘My Career’ talks delivered by more than 40 industry leaders,

In addition, course participants will:

  • Spend a day with the comms team and experts at Google
  • Be allocated a BME PR Pros mentor
  • Present at a PRovoke Media event
  • Create and host a podcast episode
  • Receive complimentary CIPR membership

To qualify, course participants must have a minimum seven years’ experience in PR and/or comms and must be at AD or Head Of level (title is less important).
