The Blueprint: Headland promoted to full Blueprint status; Fight or Flight Becomes Blueprinted

● Headland promoted from Ally to full Blueprint status

● Fight or Flight become Blueprinted and secure Ally status

Tuesday 28 October 2025; London, UK: Headland, the London-based consultancy specialising in financial and corporate communications, public affairs, and campaigning, has secured promotion from Blueprint Ally status to full status, and Fight or Flight, the B2B communications agency with consultants across London and North America, has become a Blueprinted agency securing Ally status following the latest round of applications.

Launched in 2020 The Blueprint diversity mark aims to promote racial diversity in PR and communications. Awarded organisations sign up to a series of commitments aimed at encouraging diversity from work experience to boardroom.

Headland secured the mark after completing a re-application form detailing how they fulfilled The Blueprint commitments since being awarded in 2023. Fight or Flight were awarded Ally status after completing a 40-question application form detailing their work to promote diversity and inclusion.

The applications were marked by an independent panel of judges: Henry Rowling (founder, Flying Cars innovation agency); Sasha Daly (advocacy and influencing consultant) and Nyree Connell (education policy manager and Blueprint).

Headland joins Blurred, Cirkle, CCGroup, a Hoffman Agency, and Harvard to become the latest agency promoted from Ally to full Blueprint status.

Since becoming Blueprinted in September 2023, the consultancy has increased the diversity of its workforce, created an inclusive social calendar, rolled out a wide-ranging DEI training programme and provided coaching for staff from minority backgrounds. The detailed reapplication form, submitted with a large body of evidence and extensive data, also revealed strong senior management engagement and high levels of staff support for the firm’s DEI work.

Fight or Flight has become the latest agency to acquire Blueprinted status for the first time in two years following its application in September 2025. Despite its young age, the B2B agency impressed judges with its deep, longstanding commitment to DEI and to recruiting and nurturing talented Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Ethnic Minority (BME) pros. The successful application highlighted strong DEI foundations with an impressive number of policies and processes in place as well as a growing diverse workforce.

Elizabeth Bananuka, Founder/CEO, The Pros Collective, said: “In the midst of such a negative news cycle, it’s wonderful to not only celebrate two organisations walking the DEI talk and doing great things, but to promote one, Headland, to full Blueprint status, and to welcome another, Fight or Flight, into The Blueprint community by awarding it Ally status. Both applications were a joy to read and provided the judges, Henry Rowling, Nyree Connell and Sasha Daly and I, with so much hope. They served as timely reminders that there are still organisations committed to doing meaningful, accountable, transparent, data-driven DEI work and, crucially, which understand the value diversity, inclusion and equality bring to a business, its clients, its work, and its workforce. On behalf of the judges, it’s an honour to award Headland full Blueprint status and Fight or Flight The Blueprint Ally status. I hope their DEI work serves as an inspiration for others.”

Suzanne Morris, COO, Headland Consultancy, said: “Championing diverse perspectives is central to our purpose, client offer and who we are as a business. Becoming a Blueprint Ally two years ago gave us the confidence and framework to be more ambitious in our actions and we’re so proud that this has been recognised with full Blueprint status. We’re looking forward to continuing our work with Elizabeth and The Blueprint team.”

Joe Walton, Co-founder and Chief Client Officer, Fight or Flight, said: “Although we are incredibly proud to be named a Blueprint Ally today, we know there is so much more we can do to make our agency even more open, diverse and accessible. We are excited about the opportunity to learn new strategies and best practice from Elizabeth and The Blueprint team, and are already very impressed by the depth and rigour of their approach.”

An evaluation report published in June 2025 highlighted the positive impact The Blueprint diversity mark has had on awarded agencies and their employees since its 2020 launch.

Designed to help organisations attract, recruit, retain and nurture talented Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Ethnic Minority (BME) PR and comms pros, the diversity mark has had impact on an individual, organisational and industry-wide level. The evaluation report revealed 71% of survey respondents attributed The Blueprint to improved inclusivity in their organisation, 71% to changes in their organisation’s diversity recruitment, 69% to an increase in diverse job applicants and 75% to increased DEI efforts. Unsurprisingly, 79% of respondents stated they would be likely to recommend the diversity mark to another organisation.

The diversity mark, created and managed by The Pros Collective (the new name for BME PR Pros and Blueprinted), has four application rounds a year. The deadline for the next round of applications is midday on Thursday 4 December 2025. Applications can be requested via The Pros Collective website.
